  • Bachianas Brasileiras #3 (Ricordi) - for piano and orchestra. The first performance was in New York on February 19, 1947, with Jose Viera Brandao at the keyboard, and the composer conducting the CBS Symphony Orchestra. The work is dedicated to Mindinha.
  • Bachianas Brasileiras #5 (Associated) - the first movement of BB#5, the famous Aria (Cantilena) was written in 1938. It wasn't paired with the Danca (Miudinho) movement until the latter was written in 1945. The premiere of the Aria was March 25, 1939 in Rio de Janeiro, with Ruth Valadares Correa singing, and Villa-Lobos directing a group of 8 cellos. This work is also dedicated to Mindinha.
