Brazilian Classical Guitar Concert in NYDate: 07/02/2008 - 20:00 Location: USA: Rhinebeck NY Work Performed: Works for Guitar June 27, 2008 Get ready for the sounds of classical guitarist David Temple to fill the air. But not just any air, "Brazilian Aire." On Wednesday, Temple will perform a concert titled "Brazilian Aire" at 8 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck as a part of its Mid-Week Venture series. Temple's music will feature a fusion of classical guitar and Brazilian rhythms and melodies. In addition to new arrangements and original work, Temple will play a selection of music by Villa-Lobos, Reis, Morel, Pernambuco, Bonfa and others. Temple has performed across the country, including the Festival of Arts at nearby Mohonk and the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. He also has performed previously for the Mid-Week Venture series. As a musician, he aims to bring his audiences colorful and enjoyable concerts. The Center for Performing Arts is at 661 Route 308 in Rhinebeck. Tickets are $18, $16 for children and senior citizens, and are available at www.centerforperformingarts.org and at the box office.
