This is one of the first scores to be published in the Villa-Lobos Digital project of the Academia Brasileira da Música.

Premiere: 08/10/46 at the Festival Villa-Lobos, Teatre Municipal, Rio de Janeiro. the OSTM was conducted by the composer.
U.S. Premiere: 12/26/47 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eleazar de Carvalho.
