Program Details
In their final concert for the year, the Griffith Trio will showcase the Trio by Debussy together with the Villa-Lobos’s dazzling Second Trio. Villa-Lobos composed his expansive Second Piano Trio while studying in Paris and, together with his colourful Brazilian background, it reflects the influence of contemporary French music, especially the brilliant textures and virtuosity of Ravel’s music. Following from Debussy’s delightful early work, it promises to be a thrilling finale to the season.
