V celli - Vanderbilt's New Cello Ensemble
Blair String Quartet and Blakemore Trio cellist Felix Wang is joined by his colleague Amy Jarman, soprano and student cellists of Vanderbilt University to perform solo and collaborative works. The program includes Bach's Suite No. 2 in D Minor for inaccompanied cello and two works by Villa-Lobos, Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1 for eight cellos, and No. 5 for soprano and eight cellos. Blair musicologist Helena Simonett leads the discussion.
