When created in 1980 by Jonathan Miller the Boston Arts Ensemble presented 20 live concerts at WGBH in Boston that were simultaneously broadcast on 80 radio stations nationwide. Making their home in Newton and Salem, BAE is the recipient of grants from, among others, the National Endowment for the Arts. Join them for an intimate concert Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 7:30 p.m., at the Newton Free Library. The program will include ‘Sonata for Cello and Piano" by Serge Prokofiev and "Sonate-fantaisie no. 1 for Violin and Piano," "Desesperança" by Hector Villa-Lobos. Featured in this performance will be Miller on cello, Sharan Leventhal, violin and Eliko Akahori, piano.
