#1 - June 30 - The first : Guitar Prelude no3 "Homage to Bach" Pepe Romero: This piece has character; a great miniature.

#3 - July 2 - Though not known as an opera composer, Villa-Lobos wrote a masterpiece: Yerma, based on Garcia Lorca's play Sonate-Fantaisie no1, an early Villa-Lobos work for violin & piano - listen to Oscar Borgerth online:
#5 - July 4 - My favourite of the 5 Piano Concertos: no2 - Ulises Hernandez in a video with the National SO of Cuba
#6 - July 5 - - Bachianas Brasileiras no7, one of Villa-Lobos's greatest works - a moving accompaniment to this project: Choros no2.
