This page was once a busy place. I managed to track down a lot of Villa-Lobos concerts all around the world, in the period 1997 to 2005. We'll see if I can come up with a good format to resurrect this bit of VL research.

There's a new, calendar format for the Villa-Lobos Concerts page, so you can see what concerts are coming up. These calendars serve another purpose: to document Villa-Lobos concerts in the past. So I will be entering concerts from 1997 and on in the calendar format.
This spreadsheet contains an analysis of all of these concerts, and those in the archives (1997-the present). I will keep this up-to-date as I add new data. Here it is in the new FlashPaper format - this requires Flash 6 - there's more information on FlashPaper here, at the Macromedia website.

A valuable resource on the web for concert information is John Woolard's Orchestral News - a very comprehensive site. The best source of information on Brazilian concerts is VivaMusica. Registration is required for some functions, but it's easy and it's free. In Canada, a great source of information on concerts is La Scena Musicale Online, a wonderful magazine and online resource.

November 5, 2007 Update: Alas, the Woolard site, though it's still up, was no longer updated after 2004. The Brazilian and Canadian sites are still up and running; they provide valuable concert searching services.
