A Series of 11 Period Insturment Concerts at Three Venues: • The Daniel Arts Center, Simon's Rock College, Great Barrington, MA • The Olin Auditorium, Bard College, Annandale-On-Hudson, NY • The Sterling And Francine Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, MA All concerts at all venues will have a pre-concert lecture one hour prior to concert time included in the price of the ticket. In 2009 Aston Magna presents its 37th season in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. This is the oldest annual summer festival in America devoted to music performed on period instruments. Under the direction of Daniel Stepner, Artistic Director, Aston Magna's performances aim to interpret the music of the past as the composer imagined it. Aston Magna has been recognized internationally for nearly three decades for its contributions to the popularization of early music performed using historically accurate instruments and performance practices.
