Jennifer Trowbridge Guitar Concert at the University of ChicagoDate: 10/13/2011 - 12:15 Location: USA: Chicago IL Work Performed: Works for Guitar Jennifer Trowbridge, guitar Chicago guitarist Jennifer Trowbridge has long been inspired by Brazilian music, especially by guitarist-composer Sergio Assad whose compositions are featured in her upcoming recital. Ms. Trowbridge earned a B.A. in music from the University of Chicago and continued her studies at Northwestern University where she is currently completing a D.M. in guitar performance. Also a dedicated teacher, she founded The Trowbridge Guitar Studio Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood in 1996 and has been developing unique curricula for both children and adults. She composed music for the documentary film, The Pantanal: Brazil's Forgotten Wilderness, and was awarded several grants from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
