Concert Hour is a music enrichment series presented for our students and the community by the Palomar College Performing Arts Department. Concerts take place in the Performance Lab (Room D-10). Doors open at 12:20,with seating on a first-come first-served basis. The program begins at 12:30 and ends at 1:20. Late arrivals are admitted to the hall and seated during a performance pause as long as seats are available. There is no charge for admission.

In a delightful program of mixed messages around a dance theme, pianist Vania Pimentel blends European classics (Chopin, Scarlatti), with more modern Brazilian influences (Villa-Lobos, Chiquinha Gonzaga, Marlos Nobre).Fall 2011

Al dertig jaar behoort het Cuarteto Latinoamericano tot de absolute top van de Zuid-Amerikaanse kamermuziekwereld. Het viertal is van alle markten thuis, maar staat vooral bekend als vertolker van Latijns-Amerikaans repertoire. De opnamen van de kwartetten van Heitor Villa-Lobos vielen geregeld in de prijzen. Het aangewezen ensemble om de Braziliaanse kamermuziek tijdens het Amsterdam Brasil Festival een stem te geven.
