VILLA-LOBOS: Bachianas brasileiras No. 5
MOZART: Sinfonia Concertante for Oboe, Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon and Orchestra, K. 297b
FAURÉ: Requiem in D minor, Op. 48

Known as the most mellow and beautiful of all Requiems in the classical repertoire, Gabriel Fauré infuses his masterpiece with an undeniably French character. Also, several of the Symphony's principal performers add their own character to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's lively Sinfonia Concertante for Winds. And in the opening Bachianas brasileiras by Heitor Villa-Lobos, the melodies of Bach go dancing in Rio!
