A work that definitely enriches the world's literature for 3 horns and trombone....
This piece makes reference to the importance of wind instruments in the choro-ensemble, though Prof. Tarasti notes that the music Villa-Lobos heard in Paris earlier in the decade (Poulenc, Krenek, Busoni, Milhaud, jazz) was likely in Villa's mind as well.
3 horns & 1 trombone
Villa-Lobos, Heitor. 1928. Choros (No. 4), pour trois cors et un trombone. Paris: Éditions Max Eschig.
This score should be available in most larger academic libraries, or through Interlibrary Loan from your local library.
The ASV disc of the first seven Choros, with soloists from the Orquestra Filarmonica De Gran Canaria, is a good place to start.
It's trumped, somewhat, by the brand new disc from BIS , with musicians from the Orquestra Sinfónica do Estado de São Paulo - OSESP. Still, both performances are fine.
For the ultimate in authenticity, though, you have to get this CD (or download the MP3) from Kuarup Discs in Brazil.

Premiere: 24/10/27, Paris, Salle Gaveau.
This isn't often performed: there's only this concert from Brussels in 2001 in the database of Villa-Lobos Concerts as of August 2008. April 2009 update: there's another performance coming up this summer at Aspen.
