Jet Whistle in RacineDate: 05/01/2009 - 19:30 Location: USA: Racine WI Work Performed: Assobio a Jato Free concert Friday night RACINE - Fifth House Ensemble will present a free concert as part of First Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at the Racine Art Museum, 441 Main St. There is no admission fee. This program features modern works from and inspired by the Americas, paired with the contemporary American art featured at Racine Art Museum (RAM). Selections include JacobTV's "The Body of Your Dreams" for piano and soundtrack, "Lipstick" for flute and soundtrack, and "Nivea Hair Care Styling Mousse"; George Crumb's "Sonata" for solo cello; Heitor Villa Lobos' "The Jet Whistle," and Aaron Copland's "Threnodies" for flute and strings. The mission of Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble is to tap the collaborative spirit of chamber music to create engaging performances and interactive educational programs, forging meaningful partnerships with unexpected venues, artists of other disciplines, educational institutions and audiences of every type.
