Duo „Assobio a Játo" - 1. Februar

Obwohl klanglich so reizvoll, ist die Duobesetzung Flöte und Cello doch selten. Dementsprechend gibt es auch kaum Kompositionen für diese Instrumentenkombination. Das Ensemble „Assobio a Jàto" zu dem sich die Karlsruher MusikerInnen Dorothea Lehle (Cello) und Dirk Bretschneider (Flöten) vor einigen Jahren zusammenfanden, hat jedoch die Möglichkeiten des Zusammenspiels dieser Instrumentenpaarung kontinuierlich erweitert.

So stehen beim nachmittäglichen Konzert im Kulturhaus Mikado neben der namens gebenden Originalkomposition des brasilianischen Komponisten Heitor Villa-Lobos und Bearbeitungen von Johann Sebastian Bach und Bela Bartók auch Jazzstücke von Egberto Gismonti und Chick Corea sowie freie Improvisationen auf dem Programm. Einige Kompositionen werden dabei erstmals in dieser Besetzung aufgeführt. Der Erlös kommt einem Wasserversorgungsprojekt in Fandene/Senegal zugute.
